"Did you know that there are roughly two billion dogs, domesticated dogs, on the planet today? Every single one of them came from a group of roughly a dozen wolves that was domesticated in northern France around 38,000 years ago. In fact, there's strong evidence to show where a child and a wolf stood side by side in a cave in this very same region.

Now we can't prove that the wolf and the child stood there together at the same time, but they did occur relatively close to each other because of the sedimentary layer that they are in. I like to think of it as a beautiful start to a great relationship between two great friends."
